I want to go unleaded this deer season & have a box of Barnes 130gr TSX bullets for my .270 Win. Anyone want to share their favorite loads for this bullet. Any other tips would be appreciated. I am used to using Nosler Partitions for most of my hunting but wanted to try the bullet everyone is talking about. Thanks,

George

I worked up a load for my buddy's Browning A Bolt 270 using 56.5 gr of IMR 4831, CCI 200 Primers and WW cases with the 130 TSX. We chrony'd this load at just under 3100 fps. (of course work you're loads up slowly, etc., etc.). His rifle shot these bullets with more than acceptable accuracy. I've seen about a dozen animals shot over the last 3 hunting seasons with the TSX bullets, and they do seem to work exactly as advertised.

Winchester brass, federal 210 or 210m primer, 60gr H4831, and the TSX. I have never seen any reason not to use J O'C's favorite 130gr recipe. It'll come out at 3000-3050fps. Good luck.

My 700CDL in 270 shoots around 5/8-¾moa with the following load. Winchester brass, WLR primer, 61.0 gr Vihtavuori N165, 130TSX at .030" off the lands. Chrony'd at 3125 in that 24" tube, with a very low SD. (As Usual, start 3 grains down and work up carefully in YOUR rifle) Regards, Eagleye.
