270 for moose hunting

I have shot a trainload of moose, and have not found them particularly difficult to kill with a properly placed shot.
I have shot them with everything from the 6mm Remington, up to the 338 Win Mag. Only moose I had trouble getting to lay
down was a big old cow moose in 1964. I shot her just a bit too far back the first time. [30-06, 180 Silvertip] and I had to put
3 more in her to finish the job. Adrenaline got her going, I believe. I have shot quite a few moose with the 7x57, and about
4 with the 6.5x55. Theses were all 1 shot kills. The 270 is indeed fine medicine for moose. If I was taking my 270 moose hunting,
I would use my pet load....a 140 Partition, chased by a healthy dose of Vihtavuori N165. Accurate and deadly. D.

In 270win ive killed moose with 130 grain accubonds, 130 grain GMX, 130 grain fusions, and 150 grain Trophy Binded Bear Claw. Fastest flop over was the Accubonds.

And there lies the real answer, regardless of the firearm or bow being used.

Very few animals live long with shredded lungs or severed large blood vessels.
