After a bit of research it sounds like ill be quite comfortable taking my .270 on a black bear hunt. When it happens, it will be my first time going out for them.
My Model 70 really likes the 130gr win power max ammo, but I havent found a store with the 150gr version on the shelf, does anyone know a store that does in southern ontario?
I also intend to work up a few different hand loads to try. Speer has two 150g options, the grand slam and the deep curl.
Hornady's selection almost confuses me, between the interlock the interbond and the SST... Not sure which would be the right choice, but they all come in 150gr.
Im wondering if anyone has any recipe recommendations for the above mentioned bullets, any other bullet recommendations (i have been told that you can find 277 in 160gr weights, but not sure who makes them, and of course being able to get your hands on them is another story, but i do have time). I did find Nosler Partitions in stock in the 150gr weight... I cant imagine ill hear anything negative about that bullet for my intended use?!?
