.270 or a lever gun

I will be taking a Winchester '94 big bore in 375 win next month for elk, due to the excellent handling qualities and expected short range shots. It is butting in line ahead of what a lot of people would consider "superior" elk cartridges/rifles that will be staying home...

Buy what you like and use it appropriately. Sure, your 270 will get it done, but does it "scratch that itch"?

I have a BLR in 308. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot a moose with it. If you're in Vancouver or Kamloops I'll even let you play with it. Kamloops you can shoot it at the range if I can find a time to go.

My go to is a bolt 270. Never shot a moose but several deer and bear went down in a hurry.
I appreciate the offer but MB is a drive and a half from there. Never considered .308 tbh for mooser elk
