AND, still, nobody can convince the other side that they are better than------------------------.270/.280----------------
Oh Haggis... it isn't about who is right or wrong... it's all about who can yell the loudest and stay on his feet
Next... I am gonna convince you that a .243 is waaaaaaay better than a 6mm.

Oh, goodie! .243 vs 6 mm!!!! Pink pepper flakes from pink peppercorns, and dainty fly #### from imported fruit flies! For separating those, we should wear long ladies silk gloves, I think. 8)

Pink peppercorns aren't really peppercorns..

Wear whatever gloves you want... :p

back to Gatehouse, what are pink peppercorns if not peppercorns??? (Seriously!) One of the best mussel dishes I ever sampled was mussels steamed in a broth with white wine, some kind of milk or cream, and pink peppercorns. In fact I am drooling just thinking of them again....

Doug

DOug,

Pink peppercorns come from a shrubby thing called a Brazilian pepper tree. (S. terebinthifolius)

They are related to poison ivy, poison oak etc. It's realy a noxious plant, as it chokes out just about everything else in areas that it colonizes..

Green peppercorns are indeed a true peppercorn, just unripe, and white peppercorns have had ther outer husks removed, usually by using a slat abrasive.

And there ain't a damn bit of difference betweent he .280 and the .270!!!! :D

Philistines............

THAT DOES IT!

Gatehouse, I am afraid you are going to have to come out here in the spring instead of bone-collector. If he can't eat real food, he can't visit my place....

Or maybe the two of you could visit at the same time. we can keep b-c chained to a tree in the back yard and feed him red meat and such, while we feast like kings in the house! 8)

Rob, the things you will learn when you visit me will not be confined to lessons on the water!

Doug
