Hes been like that ever since his (male) roomate moved out

I own both 270 sako hunter deluxe and 30-06 semi auto browning. Both are excellent rifles. I hunted big game with both. The 270 is a flatter , faster shooting rifle and can reach out and touch. The 270 is good for hunting open areas with no obstructions, ie: open meadows, fields ect.... ect... Your 30-06 is a good bush rifle for hunting around brush. All the 270 is neck down from the 30-06.

O.K. I found the difference!

The 270 is a LADIES rifle

"Its recoil is moderate, considering the power of the cartridge, so the .270 is a good caliber for youngsters and shooters of slight build"

ROFLMAO!!!!! Here here!

Ladies shooting .270s are dangerous-----gotta love that

BTW: Halley Berry was on set this morning out at the canyon where i live and run my 2 Labs every morning, AND, they are shooting (film) for the rest of this week and i believe she uses a ladies gun also 8)

A 30-06 can do 99% of what a 270 can do.
A 270 can do 25% of what a 30-06 can do.

Get a 30-06 and work up loads with 150 and 220 grain bullets and you have the best of both worlds.

Here here. Now back to the original thread...wasn't this about squirrel defense?...

Actually ol Bigsy, the grandmaster Gatehouse confirmed a while back there what I was starting to think all along. This thread isn't about anything :?

Bud speaking of squirrels, I have some brand new thoughts on this. It happened when I was comming down my driveway by the huge laurel hedge.

Its been a good summer, quite a bit of sun for around here and the bush is loaded with berries. The birds have being having a hayday. But today. I saw a rat.

Now I'm not overly scared by these unwelcome guests from Europe. Hey, that's kinda like me   Well my grandparents at least. Anyways, our cat will kick the crap out of any rat and the bastards know it. They won't come near my house. But. My cat will not touch a squirrel. Hmm.

My dog will gladly tear after a squirrel. Mind you she'll do that to a bear too. And even hang on to its ass with her chops while its spinning around trying to kill her. And then chase him away after he finally gets the point. She's got balls that dog.
