I looked around for a page to post my question but came up empty handed, I have a 6 year old 270 Weatherby Mag Mark V Sporter I believe it is, new in box never fired, safe queen that needs to move on down the road , with them discontinued now I'm having a tough time finding out the value or a fair asking price , its showroom only been out of the box a couple times....any insight would be appreciated , if theres another place I should post , let me know mods and thanks

I think $2K is a bit optimistic, but don't mind being wrong. I don't see as much demand for magnums these days esp one that would be problematic to feed.

Problematic to feed, referring too malfunctioning or in sourcing ammo? You may be correct in 2K being high but I see quite a few used ones up for $1600-$1850. The reason I chose the 2K was I’d rather pay a couple hundred more for a BNIB than one used with a few bruises. The price of the new models today are not cheap either. If a fellahs inclined to like wood and nice shiny blueing then this could be a nice find! He can always go lower .

- Hard/expensive to get ammo and brass.
- I totally agree that OP can go lower and starting high is never a bad plan as long as you realize that in order to sell, the price may have to be adjusted lower. I'd start at $2K as well. :)

I guess ammo availability is area dependant. My small back country dealer stocks pretty much every flavour of them but they’re not cheap. Reloading dramatically reduces cost but buying virgin brass is painfull on the wallet!. I’ve had great luck with the few I own or have owned. My 257 runs $120 or more for the110 Accubonds. You wouldn’t wanna run out on a hunting trip and have to try and find them for sure.
