Does anyone have experience with this caliber? What is the real world velocity with 140 or 150's?

thanks

Had a Model 70 pre 64 rechambered to 270 Wby, 24" bbl 3430 - 3460 safely with a 130, using RL22 another sleeper powder for the Wby not mentioned in most manuals is H380 which would averaged 3320 fps, both were much lower pressures than 7828 which I never did get satisfactory velocities with.

Mine gets 3500+ with 130s and H450. Have only a bit of that powder left, so have worked a bit with Re22. It gives almost the same velocity as the H450 does with all bullet weights.

Old miserable ones, with the burning desire to find fault with anything while adding nothing.

I didn't realize that you were that old!:D

The simple truth is that a cartridges history does nothing to improve it's ballistics or make it kill game any quicker.

I didn't say it did. Rembo said it sounded like a 7 Rem Mag. I said that it came 20 years later. To me that means that the Rem Mag sounds like a .270 Weatherby a generation late. To you, that sounds like a oppurtunity to be a prick.
Have a nice life.

Actually you also posted"That's got to be worth something. "
and I pointed out that simply being first by 20 years didn't make it superior in any way. Then of course you became defensive, and replied with the insults.:p

Based on some of the posts on this forum,I sometimes wonder what life forms are posting here.:D
