Picked up a box for the hell of it, After a bit of research RL-17 seems to be the ticket for speed. As far as im concerned no use going light unless I can push them really fast. For those who have used this bullet, what are you pushing it with ?

H4350 of course ;) You can get an honest 3400fps with great accuracy.
It's Barnes accuracy load and found that 243 Win, 270 Win, 270 WSM give outstanding accuracy and good velocity with this powder!
I tend to favor it over H4831 even for heavier bullets when applicable (not always possible).

Full disclosure: I'm a Varget and H4350 guy after much experiments with H4831 and Retumbo (I've never tried H1000 for whatever reason...)

Seems Ive drank the RL-17 cool aid. Found some at Epps on the way home today so decide to test. Worst case scenario its still a useful powder being where it in the Burn rate chart. Who knows I might even buy another 30-06 someday.

RL17 is H4350 burning rate with higher loading density. The only real problem is that it's more temperature sensitive (an issue for precision shooting in Canada) and it is a double based powder (higher specific heath which means lower barrel life).
That being said, it often produces an extra 150-200 fps compared to H4350.
