150gr might be better at long range from a target shooting perspective, but within reasonable hunting ranges (say out to 400m) the 130gr bullets will have flatter trajectory due to higher initial velocity and the difference in wind drift is not enough to be concerned about.
So for most hunters, the 130gr make more sense than the heavier 150gr, you just don't see the advantages of the heavier bullets at normal hunting ranges. Plus, if you want to go with heavy bullets, the 270 isn't really a great choice - a 6.5 or 7mm is going to give you better bullet options on the heavy end of things. IMO its hard to go wrong with a premium 130gr bullet, hard to argue with the kind of velocity you can get out of a 270 with the 130gr offerings. Nothing wrong with 150s, my 270 shot the 150 partition exceptionally well (sub-half-MOA in a Savage Axis), but they don't do anything a good 130gr bullet won't also do, other than reduce your Maximum Point Blank Range.
