i've got Cci 200 primers on hand, hornady brass and a glut of H4831sc. My bullet inventory is nosler partition, accubond and Sierra game King .all in 130 gr. Anyone using any of these combo's? This will be my first time reloading the .270win. Haven't used the rifle since I started reloading so it's time to dust her off and see what she'll do.

I use 60 grains of H4831sc with a barnes 130 ttsx. My rifle groups well with this load. I've used Hornady sst and berger bullets all 130 gr. My rifle shoots them all well. Nosler Accubonds didn't group as well but I didn't spend much time with them. 60 grains is warm, so work up to it.

I use 58.5gr H4831sc with 130 accubonds and 59 grains h4831sc with 130 gr. game kings. Both of these group very well and are within 1/2" of each other

H4831sc. Any 130 grain bullet. Try from 58 to 60 grain. 60 will likely shoot best. You will read it everywhere: if a 270 win does not shoot well with 60 grains H4831 it will not shoot anything well. Monitor your speed. You do not need 3000 fps with a 130 grain if you hunt deer in the woods. 2800-2900 would be more than enough and with not much meat destruction as with speeds above 2900 and mild recoil. If you plan to shoot beyond 200 yards than velocity above 2900 is great.

Not H4831 but IMR 57.3 grains behind 130g. Sierra gave me a 3 shot group of .705 at 200 yards.
Tikka M65. ~3050 f/s
H4831 is slower burning I believe but you can get an idea of the velocity range that gave me that grouping.

59 grains of H4831 under a 130 grains bullet is a good load in my 2 Win Model 70. MOA or less.

The GameKing should be the most accurate of the bunch, followed by the Partition. I’ve not made extensive tests with the Accubond but the few times I tried them, accuracy was just good. Idem for the Ballistic Tip.

I found 58gr of H4831 shot better with one Rifle and 60gr. with another. (I like Nosler Partition for hunting) 60gr. is the time tested load I would work up to that and see how it groups. I like Winchester brass and WLR primer (mostly on availability)
