I have 270WSM and use 130 TTSX.
I dont think you need more for anything except maybe protection from bears out west.
For any deer out there and good shot placement is all you need.
I have a 270WSM and I'm using Barnes Tipped Triple Shock 110 grain for deer. I wouldn't think twice about using these in a 130 grain on moose. A well designed 130 grain bullet will do better than a 150 grain soft point IMO, of which lots of moose have been killed with.
The majority of the moose I have taken were with 150 gr Partitions. At 300 yards the fall off in power was noticeable. In the early days we hunted a lot of small beaver ponds and the moose were usually taken at short range. Nowadays we hunt some large lakes and shots are often at longer ranges. My go to moose gun now is a .338 Win. If all I had was a .270 I wouldn't quit moose hunting I would just reload some more 150 gr. Partitions and go to it.
