Hey guys! I've just acquired an rifle chambered in the 270 Win. I haven't reloaded the 270 for many decades, therefore what is the best brass out there that you are using? Thank you in advance.

I don't load a lot of .270 any more, but when I did I used Winchester brass. R-P is also good. Federal is one I didn't like as much - primer pockets loosen up too soon. YMMV.

I have quite a lot of Winchester, Federal and Remington, and some Hornady. The Remington seems to last the longest but not really much difference except the Federal is softer. If I'm buying new brass I like the Winchester or Remington.

I really liked Rem for the 270 and Win for magnums. New Win brass does not seem as good. Since Remington no longer sells brass I would try Privi if I was starting again.

I resize Norma 30/06 (Browning Headstamp from Higginsons, $23/50) for my 270. Cheap and it's good brass, leaves the neck a little short but doesn't hurt anything.
I picked up a few pieces of Hornady 270 at the range one day, it was once fired because I watched the guy shoot it out of the box. It looked ready to separate about mid case after a single firing. When I weighed them, they were lighter then 243Win brass...

Unless you're .270 is an exception 57gr/IMR 4831/Fed mag primer /130gr bullet and Win brass should be well under MOA usually 3 in a nickle at 100 yards.Killed truckloads of game with that load in the last 35 years.

Thanks for everyone's experience with 270 brass, however I haven't heard anything about Nosler or Hornady brass.

Nosler don't make brass track, they only market other peoples brass. Not sure what their 270 stuff is ('cause I'm such a big fan of 270s) but I tried their 300 Wby and it was just Remington sorted weighed and prepped @ twice the price. Some I know is Norma and some is Hornady, but like I said it is a crap shoot with Nosler as to who actually makes it. Norma is always good brass if you can find it. With the demise of onshore made Winchester, I have found Privi to be pretty good in the 7X57, 7.62X39 and 8X57..........

Federal and Nosler are softer brass generally. Hornady has everything. I've drifted over to using Hornady brass recently and am liking it. Nothing wrong with Win or RP though.

In the posting below one person said to buy Lapua 30-06 brass and neck it down. And at the other end of the spectrum you could buy much cheaper Winchester cases and weight sort and prep the cases.

And this depends on what ranges you will be shooting, with my .270 I hunted in the woods or in a tree stand at the edge of small open fields.

Best unprimed brass to purchase for 270 winchester reloading?

Thanks to everyone again for their thoughtful comments! It would be really great if Lapua made brass for more cartridges, other than what they have. Norma brass is most difficult to find, especially in standard cartridges. After conducting some research into Sako ammunition, I dug deep into my pocket and purchased two boxes of Sako ammo for the 270 win. Reading reviews (Guns and Ammo Wright-up) about the Sako brass, apparently manufactured in house, is superior brass with very tight tolerances and different materials, suppose to last at least 10 reloads. Expensive brass, however "suppose" to be superb.
I purchased 2 boxes from CGN Sponser, Reliable Guns in Vancouver.
