270 Winchester reloading

Great thanks fellas. Will pick up some IMR 4831

Pick up both. Very common for non magnum rifles, the slower powder 4831 is also very common in many belted magnums.

Really the answer to which powder, is yes. A bottle or jug of 4350, 4831, 4064, 4895, and several others will follow you home as they are very common and versatile. Where is our Obi wan of powder, Ganderite?

140 partitions and 58 grs H4831sc works on my M77 all weather ....groups opened up with hotter loads of this powder.

I've got 2 270's (M700 and M77) and in both Federal Blue Box 150 RN shoot awesome...actually better than my reloads at this point...Does anyone know what powder Federal uses for this load?

I don't know what powder Federal uses. The Core Lokt 150 shot sub moa in my Sako A7. For 22$ a box, it is hard to beat. I have the same results as you with the Accubond 140 grain and 58 grain H4831sc with a mv of 2940 fps from a 22.4 barrel. I find the Nosler loading manual extremely reliable. The most accurate load in it is always the most accurate in my rifle.

The powder Federal uses will not be exactly like any canister powder available to us.
