I'm new to hunting and I recently bought a Sako A7 in .270 Winchester. To get used to the gun I've put about twenty rounds each of Federal Power-Shock and Winchester Power-Points with decent results. Before I start buying every box on the shelf, I was hoping some of you might have suggestions for this rifle in both 130gr(deer) and 150gr(elk). I have no problem with spending more for quality ammunition, I just started with the cheaper stuff to get a feel for things.
