270WSM - One bullet for moose and deer?

140gr Accubonds are my magic. Great performance on elk, moose, bears, deer. Mostly all double lung pass thru penetration with MAJOR internal DAMAGE !! I was going to try the 140TSX's years back but with the success at the range and performace on big game I stuck with the Accubonds.

For factory ammo, the Winchester Supreme 140gr Accubond CT's or maybe the 150gr XP3's get my vote. Nexct would be the Federal AB's or TTSX's.

130tsx shoot great out of my 28" barrel winchester highwall, I would be comfortable using this on moose or deer. havent yet, but have no worries about it being effective

I hit a big 10 point buck in the chest from the front with a 140 gr Barnes TSX in 270 Win pushed by 49 gr of IMR 4350. Bullet entered chest blew apart the left lung, fractured the liver, struck the spine which blew bone out of the back in a large pink frothy exit wound. But wait that is not it the exit wound on the spine was a glancing blow and caused by bone fragments not the bullet leaving the animal. The bullet continued to tunnel through the animal along the spine which did ruin one of the back straps and then stopped in the rump. Recovered bullet after breaking 4 vertebras and traveling through 4ft of northern Ontario whitetail weighed 138gr! Fully opened and petaled to double diameter with sharp edges. A Moose ain't 4 ft wide. This is the first barnes TSX I've ever recovered as they usually blow clean through.

Wow...just wow

In case I missed it in earlier posts sorry for repeating. If you go with Accubonds the Ballistic tips are a non bonded version of the same bullet and lots of people use them for load development, target shooting, and then switch to the Accubond for hunting because they cost less. The Balistic tips can be used for deer hunting too.
