Just wondering if anyone has the kits? I know it would cost over $500 but you could shoot 275 rounds in one go!

AM180 Drum magazine, AR-15 adapter.
E&L manufacturing and Bazooka Bros Manufacturing!

Thanks

First off.

Do you actually have a source for the mags, or were you figuring that they would just 'appear' for you?

Have you actually looked into this?

Or are you in the same category as all the dudes that went out and bought fast twist barrels for shooting Aquila SSS ammo, without actually checking to see if it was going to be readily available?

Not to tell you how to spend YOUR money, but I wouldn't much bother, as shooting that much ammo at the range in one go does not do much for me.

Take a look at the Lakeside Machine uppers, if you really feel the need to run that much ammo fast. About the same price range, if you factor in a couple unobtainable mags.

Cheers

Wow Trev, thanks sooooooo much for the post. This helps so much!
The reason why I posted is to see if anyone had one of these kits and where they got it from.

Wouldn't the razorback be Restricted since it's on an AR platform?
If so, there really isn't any interest for me. I like being able to use my guns on my acreage without breaking the law!
That's why I'm looking at going this route.

Oh FYI, yes I do have a source for the magazine and I've confirmed with the CFC about there import.
Guess I'll be one of the first in Canada to have a kit.

OK. Lemme get this straight. You are worried about the Razorback being restricted, because it is on an AR 15 platform, while looking for info on a conversion kit for an AR15, also a restricted platform.

I dunno if you are stupid or trolling.

Do some research, kid. Especially in to the classifications of the firearms you are planning to use.

AR-ish looking 10/22 kit, not restricted. AR-ish looking Remington 597 .22, also not restricted. Same for the AR-ish Marlin rimfires.

All real AR15's, restricted. All the AR clone 22's (Colt, S&W, H&K, Umarex), sorry dude. Restricted. The term used is "Deemed variant", even though they share no parts or internal similarities with the actual AR. Stupid as phuck, but...that's how they ended up classified.

Sooooo.... if this is a problem, maybe you ought have a good old fashioned temper tantrum and a cry over it. Then have a fun day at the range, if you have an RPAL and a ATT, that is.

Or you meant some other version that is an AR15 .22, that perhaps got through the cracks without the whole gun community knowing about it? If so, I am sure lots of folks would love to hear about it.

We're listening.

Cheers

Ok guys here are some pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got the adapter in the mail today.
I can't say enough nice things about E&L Manufacturing. They have the drum, winder, loading tray and loading stand. Very quick shipping. Less than 10 days.
Great instructions, items were nicely packaged and awesome over the phone.
Bazooka Bros Manufacturing make the adapter for the AR-15 for any rifle that takes AR-15 mags. IE. Keltec SU-22.
At first I wasn't very happy with the customer service. Took two e-mails and three phone calls to find out about my shipment.
Took two weeks to ship. However I did find out that I was his first international customer and he had to learn the shipping hoops he needed to jump through.
Took 24 days shipping and 38 days in from order to receiving.
Items were boxed nicely, lots of instructions but no diagrams. However if you read, it all comes together.

Can't wait to try it tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!!!

Just hit up the two web sites for costs. It was around $475 including taxes shipping and the extra tray and stand that you dont need but makes loading way faster!
Yes it's crazy expensive, but I only load once for 275 rounds and only need one mag. An extra mag would cost me $125 + taxes/shipping and then I'd have 550 rounds.

BD mag $32 - 26 rounds $1.23 per round
BD drum $95 - 50 rounds $1.90 per round
AM-180 drum $475 - 275 rounds $1.72 per round
2 AM-180 drums $620 - 550 rounds $1.12 per round
However you have to take into account loading time, out in the cold, loading bites!

I've read about people doing that down in the US. Don't know how well it works and if there are feed issues afterwards. Would be a cheaper way to go.
Now that I have an adapter I could make a knock off if I was motivated enough.
