The No.1 is a falling block... how do you calculate that CRF applies? As Ardent said, pinch it tight by the rim in your fingernails and you have manual CRF.

Okay...my bad again. I should read slower and think faster. I re-read what was posted earlier in the thread and realized the comments were in regard to the 77RSI and my brain was locked on to the 1a.

Hmmmm... is that reading as you intended?

I can only speak for myself, I do love hunting and fine arms and I am most certainly a fan of the Mauser cartridges, of which, the 7X57 is the favoured flavour, currently in a Ruger No.1 International and an M77 MKII walnut/blued.
 
Well written Angus..... I really kick myself for not jumping on one of these when Clay brought them in..... would have made a great running mate to my m77 ultralight in .257 Roberts...
 
I wish that Ruger had made their M77 International in 7x57. That always seemed to be the ideal combination for a stalking-type rifle.

Of their classic designs, my favourite deer rifle is the Number 1 International, in 7x57. A close second (and “Holy Grail” rifle for me, at least) is the Brno ZG47 carbine, also in 7x57. Hard to beat!

They did... I have had two of them.

I prefer the 20" barrel on the No.1 International over the 18.5" M77 International... but they both handle so nicely.

just remembered that i had one 270 win rsi number 1. was thinking to bring it with us in Canada but a guy at the range in France offered me a good price (a steal in actual price) and i let it go .... maybe one day i will need one ... the international 77 never appealed me for a simple reason: not left handed ...

Nestor what’s hard to beat is a photo of a pair of 7x57s with a pair of tusks!
 
OK Angus..........no where in this thread have I read one comment about a $20 single malt, is that per bottle or per shot...........I think the header is just a "red herring"........Oh and by the way you never did stop in last spring to assist me with my collection of single malts..........Nice rifle........for a Ruger I guess !!!!!
