28 ga steel reloading

Hi I was wondering if any one of you know where I can find compoment to reload steel shot in 28ga. It seem to be realy hard to find a wad for steel and also data base. I know Fedral and winchester produce load in steel in that caliber but I can't find any dealer how carry them. So please if you have any idea where I can find compoment, data base or already loaded ammo from Federal or Winchester please let me know.

Steel shot is used for waterfowl hunting and is not very effective for that in the bigger gauges, let alone in a 28 ga. Lead is much more effective and is usually preferred esp. in the smaller bores. I only say this because companies may not provide steel components for the 28 ga. for the above reason. Similar to another post where they are bringing out steel factory ammo for the .410, an even less effective round esp. with steel.
 
I agree with ben hunchak why bother with steel in the smaller calibers? If for waterfowl larger shot size needed =less dense pattern= more difficult to hit higher chance of wounding. Most small calibers are full choke need to open the choke. Most 28 gauges are light weight, semi collector pieces that would have their value hurt by messing around with the chokes etc. If a non toxic area or for water fowl, buy a cheap 12ga cheap steel ammo (cheaper than steel 28/410) and have fun. It's to shoot in shooting club we can't use lead shot their and for your info at 30 yard in a patern of 20" you will have the same quantity of pellet with a 28ga than with a 12 ga. I alredy shoot ducks in small pound with bismuth load and it's awsome how it's work well on teals. I use a Remington 1100 sporting with screw in choke and I shoot with the light modified. I also hunt crows with that shotgun and no problem to kill at 40 yards. Thanks crashman for the info.
