Looking for a dealer or dealers in Franchi,weatherby,Bertta for a sxS. Can find manufactures site but no dealers who carry these guns in stock. I live in manitoba SIR and wholesale dont carry them and wont order them.
 
Grandpa, to the best of my knowledge, Franchi does not make a SxS (they advertised one for a while, but none shipped). Beretta only catalogues 1 SxS in 28 gauge, and that is the Imperiale Montecarlo model - verrry pricey. The Weatherby Athena D’Italia is available in 28 gauge, but weighs 6 3/4 to 7 1/4 lbs. - too heavy for a 28 gauge.

The CZ Bobwhite is the least expensive scaled frame 28 ga. SxS that I know of, and available in Canada. Ugartechea has a few to choose from, but you will have to import them from the U. S. - it will take a little time. Other Basque makers such as Grulla, AyA, Arrieta or Garbi can make you what you want, but again you have to import.

If you are looking for a 28 gauge SxS you have good taste, I wish you all the best.

you can get the weatherby D'italia sise by side at wholesale in a side by side, you can get the ruger red label in overandunder in side by side and they have both in stock, the weatherby is around 3200, the ruger is in the 1500 range, they also have the cz in side by side
 
If memory serves there is (was) a Franchi Highlander in 20 gauge on the rack at Shooter's Choice in Waterloo. It captured my eye and I looked at it briefly but it's a single trigger gun so I didn't have much interest.
 
Claybuster, that is good news. I stand corrected, and look forward to seeing another SxS in the marketplace (single trigger or not). Do you remember how much they were asking for the gun?

They had two Franchi Highlanders at Bass Pro Shop in Toronto about two weeks ago. $2799 I think.

Gobles had the straight stocked Highlander 20ga (scalloped receiver) that they offered (of and on) for around special $2400? .....think that one got sold.

I also remember Shooter's Choice offering that same model for a similar price early 2007 maybe. No longer visible on their website though.
 
Dante's in Montreal has had an AYA #2 sidelock 28 ga. in stock for more than a year now - I noticed their ad again in the Canadian Access to Firearms
