I know a guy who shoots a 280 AI. Swears up and down by it. Personally I would never shoot an AI unless it was single shot or a non-staggered mag.

I'll go out on a limb here and guess that you are referring to feeding issues. I'll also go out on a limb here and say that my Model 70 280 AI feeds far better than many, many 270's and 30-06's that are going hunting this year right across this country.

i have no feeding issues with my rem 700 280ai either. my rem 7 in 7 08ai feeds perfectly too.
