Nearly as good as a 284
Ah the .284,......... the first Short Magnum, 30 years before someone else thought they had stumbled onto a new idea.
I had two .284Winchesters. I traded my Model 100 rifle and still have the Carbine in .284. In these rifles and that one Factory loading from winchester it was never done justice. In a Model 70 with lots of room for seating bullets out, well....... it was a .270 or .280, in a short action!!
