looking for a recommendation on one bullet for both deer and moose. Looking to hear from those that have used one for deer and moose. I hunt in Ontario. I have tried the 154 gr Hornady Interbond but was looking for options. Also wondering what powder you recommend as well.
Thanks

I am curious what you find inadequate about a 154 Interbond from a 280 Remington? A friend took a Saskatchewan farmland moose with 154 InterLock from a 7x61 Sharpe & Hart - took one shot - bullet ended up mushroomed perfectly against skin on far side of rib cage. I would expect that an Interbond would perform at least as well? Velocities would be very similar. Is it an accuracy issue? What size groups are you getting at 100 yards? For comparison, I use 150 Partitions @2,800 fps in a 7x57 for anything I think is suitable for that cartridge.

The 154 is only grouping good enough for me at just over 2600 fps at the muzzle, I would like to speed them up a bit but will have to try another powder as H4831 is not grouping well for me. This is why I would like to have a few options on bullets and powder.

Never could get Hornady 154gr to shoot in any of my 7mm's.Could be the guns as they shoot other weights fine.

Soft enough and strong enough.Nice BC's.

People that use them typically like them a lot.

In my ammo it is my do everything bullet.

It isn't magical, it is just my favorite multi-purpose projectile, many other bullets will do the same thing.

They can sometimes be fussy to get programmed but once you do they work well.

The thing that impresses me the most is the weight retention and toughness but with very good expansion.

Any they look cool with the black tip. ;)

Never noticed anything different hunting in -30 F with either powder.RE#22 was the replacement for Norma's MRP and RE#19 is N-204 both used in the climate of Sweden.

160 Accubond. If you can get the 154 grain interbond to shoot in anything you're luckier than I ever was. Never had any problem with the old 154 Interlock though. Killed lots of deer and some moose and elk with those in the STW.
