.280 Remington

Lapua doesn’t make 280 brass. Norma does. Xreload $120 per 50.
I’d suggest R-P or W-W brass. Post a wtb in the EE. Prepare to pay 1$ a piece for once fired.

I use Peterson Brass in my 280 remington. Henry at budget shooter supply ordered it for me. It last much longer than Remington, Winchester, or Federal cases and is well worth the money. I also use Starline 30-06 brass necked down to 280. This is probably the best value brass as I got 13 firings out of it before the primer pockets got loose, although I haven’t worn out the Peterson brass yet. If you’re oooking for Lapua brass you can also neck down their 30-06 brass.
 
I have used Winchester brass but unfortunately its nickel plated which is not my favourite. To make 280 brass I usually start with 270 brass as it is slightly longer than 30-06 expand to .311. I then full size to a tight chamber fit and fireform. I then anneal the brass resize and use for whatever load I'm setting up. I tried Remington brass but the lot I got had 40 useable cases out of 100 ( brutal runout due to huge variations in case thickness). The advantage of using 270 brass is you can get it from more manufacturers and its not .040 inches short like when using 30-06 brass.
 
My choice of brass would be Peterson and Nosler.............most excellent brass, both of them. I weighed many of the Nosler and Peterson brass, less than a grain difference. Peterson is thicker and heavier than Nosler.
