280 Ross case forming

I have saw references to forming 280 Ross from 8x68 or 6.5x68. Has anyone first hand experience doing this?

Their rim diameter is slightly rebated, about .040" smaller than the orignal Ross I own (Kynoch, US Co., WRA, DC Co. - 0.556"). This may cause extraction problems. The Ross is of the "semi-rimed" design.

Some say they sucessfuly used the Remington Ultra Mag brass, but the base looks a bit large to me.

The most economical way to reload is still to use the different belted Magnums brass.....
