285 ELD-Match 338 Lapua loads?

Hope this helps

I'm curious, comparing the Hornady load data and Nosler load data (for their 300gr AB, they don't have a 285gr) and Nosler seems to load quite a bit hotter.

Is this fairly normal between data sources?

Hornady's max load is Noslers starting load for a bullet with 15gr more weight. Just seems kind of odd to me and still trying to fill some gaps in my reloading knowledge.

None of my manuals list a loading for the 285 gr ELD-M. Looking to test out with RL-33 mostly, but if anybody has load data for Retumbo, I'd be interested to see that too.

Thanks!
I have shot some with Retumbo in Hornady cases.
I had some issues with light loads causing some shoulder cratering.
The case didn’t expand enough to seal and the hot gasses blew back and dented 2 cases.
The load was 86.8 gr of Retumbo with a 285 ELD-M.
The groups were ok right around 0.7-0.8 MOA for a Savage with a factory barrel.
Better than the factory Lapua 250gr Scenar ammo.

I had shot 30 rounds prior to that with H1000 with no issues.
I didn’t notice the brass till I got home.
Since then I haven’t shot any more 285 ELD-M.
I purchased 100 rounds of factory Lapua so I would have good brass to reload this summer.
