I don't know much about red dots, only ever used scoped bolt guns for varmints. But I now have a non res semi that I want to try out for yotes. I'm interested in possibly a red dot but I see a lot have 2 MOA dots. Anyone here use a dot that big for yotes with success? Or should I just get a 1-4 power scope?

I should add my range would be up to 300yrds max but mostly around the 100 to 200 range.

Thanks

Brian

I'd probably stick with a 1-4x scope like the Burris 1-4 XTR (I'm pretty sure that's the one I'm thinking of). Something that has a true 1x reticle so you can use your irons in co-witness without having to remove the optic.
Quite a few guys run something similar to what I described for 3-Gun comps.
edit: Sorry, I was mixed up. The Fullfield Tac30 was what I was thinking of. Pretty decent price, too.
