2x7 scope and mount for ar

Please be SO easy on me, I'm in total virgin territory. First AR, DD v7, looking to place a 2x7 variable scope on the rail. Any recommendations for me? Want to use this for intermediate distances, not running 3 gun or anything. Thanks very much in advance, gentlemen and ladies.

i had my 2-7 Leupold on my new ar & find that i can't aim fast.
just mounted a Vortex Sparc II red dot on it. very happy with it
