3 1/8" 10 Gauge

Anyone ever run into a 3 1/8" 10 gauge, or at least load data for one. I can't find anything about that shell.

That's a new one for me. 2-7/8" & 3-1/2" are the only 10 ga shells i've seen. What kinda scattergun is it for?

It's a sxs AYA imported by a company in Washington DC.

I have loaded for 2 7/8 and 3 1/2 inch, I've bought old ammo in 2 5/8 and 2 3/4, but I've never even heard of 3 1/8 before.

I looked through everything i can find on 10 ga and didn't find anything for 3-1/8". Could it be a reference to the shell length before firing? In which case it might be a 3-1/2" chamber.

Might be worthwhile to measure the chambers. If it is a weird 3-1/8" chamber, you can still shoot 2-7/8" loads in it.

Good point!! That is the length of an unfired 3 1/2" 10ga shell.

A 3 1/2" SxS 10ga AYA is what I'm shooting and that's what it takes.

Well when I get my hands on it again I'll try a brand new 3.5" hull and see what I learn. I emailed AYA too, so I may hear from them.
