Where in Canada does one find a nice 3/4" sling for a European rifle?
Ugh, pull off those dinky swivels and drill out the swivel studs to accept conventional swivels for 1" or 1.25" slings. A thin spacer on either side of the stud makes for a cleaner looking job.

It's a VG suggestion worthy of consideration. This was going to be my suggestion, but Fudd's will be Fuddlie..............................
Skintly wee straps are hard on the shoulders.
Don't tell hoytcannon about that thumbhole sling. He'll want one in electric pink. Also found those with a thumb hole strap aids me along quite nicely.
Straps are a pain in the arse most times, but do fulfil a purpose.
I like the wide shouldered ones to help me a bit.

While out gofer shoot'in last year I dint have a strap and cussed meself
for the long hike back.
Qwick clips can remove a strap in short order and toss it in the pack or back pawkitt.
Found one last year at the gun show in Vernon and it's a synthetic Browning strap with
a slide sort of adjustment.
Pull to shorten it right up and pull t'uther way to lengthen.
Neat chit and light and duzzint git awll sawggie like leather does.
And compliments me BLR.

If you don't want anything fancy, lots of surplus slings fit...
