3" Barrel On Older 2-3/4" 870 Receiver?

Will a newer 3" barrel fit and function properly on an older 2-3/4" 870 Wingmaster receiver?

It will with 2 3/4" shells.
If you want reliable ejection of 3" shells you need to update the ejector.

Thank you and thank you, I found squat on a search.

I don't care about using 3" shells, I just want to be sure that I can install the 3" barrel and have it all function properly. Seems like it won't be a problem.

yep. youll even be able to fire 3" shells in a pinch, but most fired shells will not eject properly because of the extra length.
