3-Gun at GRGC Oct 16

Looks like we are in for some perfect weather.

I am either bringing my M1 Garand or my PS90... still not sure which one I will bring yet.

How many magazines are we looking at needing for these stages?

See you all there.

Kevin.

Pistol as per ODPL rules... No more than 18 rnds in any given scenario/stage so.. Three will suffice.

Rifle: This is "Run what Y'brung" so the guys with AR's and those 10rnd LAR mags are golden. Anyone with 5rnd mags or 8rnd EnBlocs will just have to man up and be a better shooter/reloader. People with 5rnd fixed mags and strippers a-la SKS will have to really man up and relaod fast.:D:D

Shotgun: 'Same deal. Run what Y'brung. 5 shot semi's up against 8 shot pumps... 'Doesn't matter. You'll probably all get smoked by some old guy with an over/under :D

Sorry guys... This is also a "no Tears" match :D

I think he was asking how many ar mags - while I haven't seen the COF just yet, typically one in the gun and two on the belt / rig / front pockets if 10-rounders for a total of three mags. If 5-rounders, five mags in total is usually good enough.

Yup, thats the answer I wanted, thanks.

sounds like a fun 3 gun to shoot, I'd love to shoot it... but leaving for moose hunting tomorrow .. :) which will be cool too :)
Have a blast guys and lets see some pics and videos later.

Perfect day for a visit ?

are spectators welcome?

Yup, but don't forget to bring eye/ear protection.

I received an invite to visit the club as a prospective new member from your webmaster Dave on any Saturday. I think a visit during this event would allow me a great opportunity to see the club in action but don't want to be a "noob" getting in the way and asking too many questions.

What are your thoughts :D

Just stay back of the line (the RO / SO will point this "line" out as it will be different from stage to stage) and you'll be fine. You'll find that the competitors, while not busy with reloading mags, are happy to talk with a "new guy". We want more people to show at the shoots, and being welcoming is a good start.

Yes, DO visit tomorrow. :) You will be very welcomed. Look to meet someone with a very similar name as yours. I've never met a Vladivar before.

One more sleep boys.
