Hello ,
Quick question: I'm new to 3gun. I am very happy with my rifle. I've gotten 1inch groups out of it. it is a match grade barrel. So I was doing some drills and realized that it was getting pretty hot. Since there's no chrome lining in the barrel, and I dont want to shoot the barrel out, what are your thoughts on a 'practice rifle.'
It would have to serve as a backup rifle as well , which is my next dilemma: should I spend upwards of $1,500 on a similar ar? Or get like a Smith and Wesson sport for practice and backup? Problem is that I dont know if my backup should shoot as good as my primary.
With the m&p sport, I'd at least want to swap the handguard for a free-float. That puts the price up to about $1,200. Then I'm not sure if I'd need to do the trigger? That would put me at $1,500. A sti is $1,500.
Input?
