Hey guys not sure if this has been discussed in another thread but I'm curious if there are any 3 gun matches in Sask having trouble finding stuff on-line. Any input is appreciated thanks.

Hi ryroru. I am only aware of matches in Saskatoon and Prince Albert. PA had about 10 single day matches in 2015. Saskatoon had 2 matches in 2015, and will have 1-3 in 2016 (hard to estimate because our ranges are being moved and reconstructed).

Here is the PA website.

Saskatoon doesn't post any info online. Have to get on mailing lists inside the Saskatoon Wildlife Federation.

What is your location?

I live in the SE near Carlyle but I'm not afraid to travel. Probably wont be able to round up enough gear to compete for at least a year but I really want to start getting involved and talking to people about gear and whatnot. Thanks for the link I have family up there so PA is easy

if you really get into it you'll have USA mags to use instead of your Canadian mags.

This has been awesome info thanks. and i guess a guy would just need a safety deposit box down there too keep the stuff. I didn't know we could buy that kind of equipment in the U.S.

Once you are in the States and have possession of the un-capped magazines (i.e. 17rd pistol, 30rd AR15, 12rd shotgun), then after you shoot at Minot (for instance) you have to rivet the mags before you cross the border. Or, as you say, leave it there in a deposit box or at a buddy's place.
Sometimes here in Canada when you buy an AR15 PMAG 5/30 they simply rivet it. So you can buy it here, take it with you cross border, drill out the rivet, use it, rivet it, bring it back home. Really the AR15 mag at 30 or 40 rd capacity is the only important one to have there. If you are using your standard Canada-legal pistol and shotgun mags you are only at a small disadvantage. But Canadian-legal AR15 mags are a huge disadvantage. FOrtunately those are the cheapest and easiest to have duplicates of.
