We're hosting our second 3 Gun match of the year on Sept. 11th at the Peace Country Fish and Game Assoc. range, Peace River, AB.
The match starts at 10:00 am sharp, shooters need to be signed in by 9:30 am.
Shooters will need:
-Semi-automatic centrefire rifle with single-point sling. Two-point slings are acceptable if worn around the neck so the rifle hangs vertically when slung.
-Pistol with strong-side holster. No shoulder, small-of-back, or cross-draw holsters.
-12 or 20 ga. pump or semi-auto shotgun, also with appropriate sling.
-Necessary gear to carry spare magazines and shotgun shells.
For those short of guns or gear needed to compete, loaner gear can be arranged. Please contact us ahead of time to arrange this.
Two classes are available, depending on your rifle. Light class is for pistol calibre/intermediate-power rifle cartridges (9mm, .223, 7.62x39, .30 Carbine, etc) and Heavy is for full-power rifles (.30-06, 7.62 NATO, 8mm Mauser, etc).
Entry fee is $20. This includes a BBQ lunch. For this event you will need to pre-register, including payment of entry fee. Entry fee can be paid directly to albertacoyotecaller or myself or EMT'd to bernetic@telus.net. Entry fee is non-refundable and entry deadline is August 31st. Prize money to be determined by the number of entries.
Shooters new to action shooting are always welcome. We'll be running at least two 3 gun "practice" nights in Peace River over the summer for those who want to brush up on their skills or see what it's all about. I'll post that info in this thread.
Come on out and have a great time, just like these shooters at our last event.
Any questions you have can be posted to this thread or you can pm albertacoyotecaller or myself for more information.
