I'm confused as how the range accommodates 3 gun but not IPSC? I don't wanna sound snark, I'm just surprised because my understanding was that action pistol ceased due to "safety considerations"... or am I wrong?
That is a very long answer Tony. The short answer is that special considerations (and red tape) have been made for 3 gun. That same red tape would make an IPSC match difficult, but not impossible to put on. The main reason - politics.

Sometimes range insurance comes into play. Best to ask David (Greenice) directly.
I'd check the club's website for round count. I was just "preparing" this morning by rolling some rounds. Always come well prepared. Its often a good idea to bring 2x the required ammo. I like to bring 3x. Never know =)

I know I am Waaaaaayyyyyy behind the 8 ball this year in getting info out to you, but check this out. The prizes will be awesome and the course of fire will make your toes curl
Focus is on gun handling skills and endurance. Nothing to crazy, just try to do it all on a clock. Here is a sneak peek at the stages and a firm round count.
Also keep in mind that if you want a shirt you MUST let me know ahead of time. I will put a pic up tuesday (we get them made local) it should be only about $30. We will also have hats this year for $25. Only making 30 of them. Also, due to issues with subway last year we have lowered the match fee from $45 to $40 and are not providing lunch.

No Slugs this year. Just wishful thinking from some large Men.
Rifle is .223 or .22, pistol is medium and small caliber (ie:no .50 cal please) and shotgun is all 6 or higher. So even petite daughters, wives, and ahhh "smaller" men can come and not get beat up.
Why do you have to go saying that...?? It's going to be a nice sunny, 21 degree day. Bit of rain the day before to lower dust and create some dew in the morning's crisp air. Shortly after, first shots will be fired and the beautiful smell of gun powder will finish off the beautiful fall morning...
Sorry, not for the Main Match. This is due to restrictions on what can fire where so rather than have some stages where it is ok and some not - we just went with .223 all around. I will spill a little secret here though. Taya Kyle (yes Chris Kyles wife) has sent us a signed copy of her book which will be up for grabs in a side match. It is a $4 entry, bring any gun you want to shoot it - no restrictions other than no steel core ammo or .50. The course of fire, golf balls at 300 yards. The winner will get the signed book and 50% of the monies collected.
