3 gun matches in the US

What type of shotgun and carabine does the ATF allow for 3 gun in the US?

Are Benelli M4S90's and Valtro's allowed?

Are AR180b with folding stock allowed?

Valtro... Must be the 18" not the shorty14"(?)

As for carbines... Nothing under 16", no Norinco's and no former Lend-Lease firearms.

My Benelli will likely not make it because of the retractable / teleccopic stock. It isn't folding but ........ Darn :mad::mad::mad:

Just because it's telescopic doesnt' necessarily mean it's not admisable. I asked that questions in regards to my 16 inch barrelled, flash suppressored, tele stock AR. I was told it's okay for temporary import and bring it back home. Whether you have overall length issues or anyting I'm not sure - I don't think so, but not sure.

It's not okay however to do a straight export from the US on these items - which I think we all know already.

I have nothing to loose if I put the Benelli M4 on the form. I also need to put 3 more guns on the application so I’ll revise the list.

I was thinking that instead of the Ar180b I'll include my Beretta Storm.

I really want to participate in these matches. Those guys in Michigan play hard and are really into it. ;)

The action very look atractive to me. The price is only $25 and for me 3 or 4 hours travel isn't a big deal + I got family there.

It's not telescopic... It's "adjustable".

If you want to go blind google BATFE 922r
As long as your m4 adhere's to the "sporting use" criteria your GTG.. and hell, even if it doesn't... You won't find any range lawyers telling you you're gun's illegal.

'Been shooting regularly at Livingston for a few years now... 'Good group of shooters and they put on GREAT matches...
Usually stay at the Holiday Inn at Brighton which is about ten min. from the range.

Canadians have been going to those and other michigan matches for decades. Some of us are or were members of those clubs. Thats my Canadian flag hanging in the Livingston club house, if its still up. A few members were not too happy about it.

If you want som IPSC/USPSA matches too, then check out Detroit Sportsmans Congress, Wayne county racoon hunters, and southkent sportsmans. Capital City Rifle club may be running this year too.

It was still there back in Oct... :)

Too bad we have to travel so far to play...
I must have logged 10's of 1000's of KM's on my car over the past few years going to matches in the US.

My biggest mistake was looging in at the Brian Enos Forums where you'll find out where/when all the big events are taking place.

I think so far this year in addition to the regular fun at BWSA and Livingston and whatever else comes up already we're slated for

BRM3G in Kentucky... It'll be my 2nd time
Adams Arms Ozarks 3 gun championship in Missouri
FNH 3gun Championship in West Virginia
Of course we'll enter the Ft. Benning 3 Gun (Georgia) lottery and hope to get slots for a third trip.
Too late for this year, but 2012 it'll be a go for the MGM Iron Man in Idaho.

It's gonna be a great year...
 
Can you amend the list of firearms on the form 6 at any point through the year? I'd like to include a couple of guns that I'm not expecting until April/May, but I don't want to delay the application.

Sure no problem... Either submit a new app with the new gun(s) added or just an app with just the new gun

Some years I've travelled with 2-3 F6's
