3 Gun Matches

It could even be split up into standard and "heavy metal"

Standard = compound bow and elastic band slingshot.
Heavy = long bow and David & Goliath type sling.

Whole new sport.
Screw cowboy action, I'm going Greco-Roman.
Toga mandatory.

I am in! We could be a team and call ourselves the Greek Machines. lmao Just let me practice a bit more. :(

Presently:

Pistol: Tanfoglio Stock III (I dare to say this thing may be as reliable as my Glocks! Can't get it to jam!)

Shotgun Pump: Mossberg 590A1 (much quicker to reload than the 870s I have owned and ultra reliable. Now I have a couple 590A1s love them.)

Shotgun Semi: Mossberg 930 (like it no issues but when I feel money burning a hole in my pocket it will be a Beneli M2)

AR: Old faithful Norinco (still waiting for a jam years later) has some work done to it but plan on shooting in the US at least once or twice this year so want a JP 16" or similar.

A JP AR. Did you win the lottery over xmas cbabes?

lol, yeah. Good luck with that.

To the OP, last year was my first time trying 3 gun (and i loved it). I used:
Norc AR with a lucid hd7 red dot
Mossberg 590
STI spartan 9mm

Now that I'm hooked i want to shoot some matches in the USA this year so im putting together a new set up which is amost done:
Custom 18" AR which will run a 1-4X scope (planning on the burris Mtac at the moment)
Mossberg 930
Springfield XDM 5.25 9mm

This year I think I will just throw rocks.....100 yard + targets might be tricky...but thought I might try Indian rubber balls for those!

What's with these 1st place finishes in IPSC production you have been getting lately? Now I know why you had a smile on your face when you were leaving yesterday!

- Shrubmaster 16" HBAR, Troy TRX with Vortex PST 1-4 in ADM recon mount
- M&P9
- Mossy 590

For this kind of 3 Gun, is a 14.5" AR barrel sufficient?

I have:

- Glock 22 .40
- Rem 870
- Spikes 14.5" with Aimpoint H1

...Shotgun Pump: Mossberg 590A1 (much quicker to reload than the 870s ...

Sure it's quick to "reload"... because you have a 24 shot extension and never do! :p LOL!

I'd love to shoot more 3 gun matches, but time in the warmer months is extremely tight for me. I helped set-up and tear down for the Nomad 3-gun match locally here last summer and I can confirm it is a TON of work putting on a match like that. I really enjoyed shooting it, but it would be awesome if other clubs nearby put on matches to spread out the workload - I'd love to try shooting a match where I don't spend a 10 hour day before the match setting up and then stay until after dark tearing down.

Haha. I only use that for IPSC Open division or matches like the Nomad match that allow "run what you brung". For IPSC standard manual it's a regular 590A1 and I have got it down to just under 7 seconds to remove 8 shells from my 4x4 carriers and load them into the tube.

Since your magnificent stick cut at the Nomad match I have figured out your strategy. I can chop sticks in two to three shots as well now. It's not speed and volume but slow accurate placement. :)

Is that an airsoft?
Compensator looks too clean and shiny to be a real rifle. :)
Get some rounds through the thing already.

Do you have the LMOS buffer as well?
