Thought this might be of interest if you haven`t seen it. The 3 Gun Nation series in the US has just published a magazine (you can view online), great pictures, a lot of ads, fluff and some articles that are actually applicable to IPSC & IDPA matches too.

Also there is an icecream cone on page 105

Nice one. I hope 3 gun becomes popular up here. It would be nice to have more matches.

Sadly we'll NEVER see 3-gun as it should be here in Canada.
Our firearms laws/regs/policy/gun club rules all conspire against it.
There's only so much you can do on our "square" ranges with our restrictive regulations.
There's also a lack of support from "industry" when it comes to shooting sports here in Canada.
You'll NEVER see matches with prize tables measured in the hundreds of thousands of dollars like we see in the US.
Hell... You can come in 175th out of 200 and still walk away with a few hundred dollars of swag.

We can still have fun with our version(s) of 3-gun, but man... It just ain't the same

ha, I like the ice cream cone, I wonder what store that's from????????

while our laws might be restrictive to 3 gun because of the mag issue, range design shouldn't be. We can do anything the Americans can do on similar ranges.

Maybe... Depending on the range.
The best 3gun matches I've been to ate the ones shot in natural terrain...
That's just not gonna happen here

If you want to win a nice gun, your chances were better at the Wild Rose 3 Gun Provincials that what they would be at a match in the US.

Dunno about that...
Most of the matches we go to there are dozens of guns in the table... I think at the first fnh we went to there were over 50 handguns alone given away... A dozen SCAR's snd a variety of others...

At this years FNH they raffled off a couple of Barret's...

How many guns were at this match compared to how many shooters?

At the 2011 FNH, IIRC, there were over 100 guns and only around 300 shooters. Myself and Pauls both won one last year.

The guns couldn't be imported. I ended up swapping out for different prizes.

I believe Pauls consigned his with the ffl and got $600 for the pistol he won.
This year I think the ffl just outright bought the gun Pauls won...

I hate pauls

There were 8 guns, maybe 35 shooter. It's still probably harder to place in the top hundred at a big match in US. They do have some good prize tables.

He didn't want to deal with me again in terms of consignment so he just handed over cash.
The look on his face when I walked up to him with another pistol was awesome.
I think he wanted to hit me.

Have to stop messing around and place higher so I can start winning rifles!!!

You might be surprised. Sometimes its not just about doing well overall, its about doing well in your division. At FNH in 2011, we got luck as the limited division was loaded with prizes and not many competitors.
