Does anyone really think a few inches of barrel length makes any measurable difference in a game where minute of pie plate is all you really need ?
I've never heard anyone who's placed second in a match say... "Damn, I knew I should have used my 18" instead of my 16"

I have a 10.5 and a 16 upper. Do the rules allow you to swap uppers between stages (or rifles for that matter) without approval from the MD? Shorty with a red dot for short range stages and the 16 with scope for the longer ones

This is why low power variable scopes are the go-to these days.

Precisely! The length is irrelevant if the shooter can make it dance. 16" or 18" makes no difference(even 14.5" makes no difference) with regards to "swing" or ballistics.
