3 Gun shoot C&DTSA Calgary

Unfortunately the no FMJ pistol ammo rule will keep me from attending this time. I'll have to source out some other ammo for future shoots. Hope your match goes well.

- pistols limited to 6 rounds to make it fair for those wanting to compete with revolvers...

- manual action shotguns limited to 5 rounds in the mag to keep it fair for semi autos...

-rifles limited to 5 rounds. No pistol mags or beowulf mags to make it fair for those who own guns limited to 5, or who don't own those types of mags...

- pistol ammo must either be plated or lead. No FMJ etc.

Don't shoot the messanger. Just advising for those that may not read the rules before showing up and thus be surprised by these course parameters.

Wow.

Will there be scoring, or would that be unfair to those who don't shoot so good?

Will there be a Rimfire Class?

Judging by how the classes are set out, I doubt it. Sounds to me like they are trying to create one big equal class. Because you are shooting rimfire, it will only be fair to punch you in the shoulder every time you fire so recoil is fair across all competitors. And you can only load 5 rounds!

I'm out.

It's not how I would personally do it, but I have played under these rules before. Once you get over it, it's just as fun as any multigun event. They all have equipment restrictions.

IMO, the arms race is the least interesting part of 3-Gun, so nerfing any magazine capacity advantages makes the actual game more interesting.
