3 Gun Shotgun Question

I used a SJ hardware extension on it. I got the +3 and I used the plug that came with the gun to block it so only allow 6.8 shells into the gun. I think the tube you need is for a Benelli nova as it's the same threads. I got the +3 so I could compete in the USA with their max of 8 shells in the tube.

The Sj +2 will make it so you don't have to plug the gun.

Did you have to buy a tube nut or just the +2 tube?
 
I have an M3K and put the Nordic Components extension on mine (Casey at TacOrd was great to deal with). S&J makes quality stuff too. The NC extension is aluminum and the S&J is steel. NC end cap is removable, S&J not. S&J comes with a new follower, NC does not. Each needs a slightly different variation to plug to max 3 x 5.8-ish rounds. I used the patented BeerBaron technique for blocking mine:

Did you need to get a new follower separately for use with the NC?

Where did you find the aircraft aluminum tube? (Edit) found it

Id' wait to buy it after incase you change your mind. I was convinced I was gonna buy a M2 until I held it in my hands and saw the difference from a stock m2 and a Benelli performance shop 3gun prepared M2.
 
After seeing all the skilled shooters on the weekend, I'm totally rethinking my approach. I saw a few guys that were really quick with their pumps. If a pump can be nearly as fast as a semi, capacity seems to be king.

That being said, would a pump shotty chambered in 3.5 be easier to double/quad load than a 3"?

But... It doesn't matter.

Pumps and Semi's don't compete against each other.


Just pick one and start practicing.
All this time spent talking about it could be spent shooting

Not in any rush my friend. Looking for opinions. Did you have on regarding speed loading 3.5" vs 3" chambers?
 
I don't think the loading port is any more open for a 3.5" vs a 3" shell. The chamber is longer to accept the longer shell. Loading would be the same imo. What I would do when your more experienced is have a gunsmith open the loading port and smoothen it out for you which would make loading easier. I agree with starting somewhere and practising.

I was in 3 gun a few years ago and seen one of my buddys Mop-Up with a Maveric 88. He's fast and knows how to shoot...............now think about that.

Same here. I don't recall ever shooting a 3gun match in SW Ontario that had different divisions for pump vs semi shotguns including the Team Hoser 3gun matches.

Edited to add: I am starting to think 667 is talking about shotgun matches and not 3gun.

Y'know... Now that my meds have taken effect, You're right. Especially in the TH matches... I've never seen a significant advantage in either action. It always comes down to the skill of the shooter. As far as capacity being king.. Meh, stage design can level that playing field very easily.
In my defense keep in mind most of my 3 gun experience has taken place in a magical land where there are no magazine capacity restrictions on semi auto shotguns, so you don't really see any pump guns... Unless the match has a specific div. where they put 'em.
