Yep I use the follower as well. Zero issues with it at all, right now the shotguns working very smooth. Eats 1 oz 23/4 #7.5 all day long.
I guess, but you have to remember to properly limit the tube, as plugging it isn't enough as the tube has to be permanently limited as well (not just end cap).
I epoxied the end cap to tube, then riveted a plug to the end cap. The end cap are tube are never going to come apart lol.
12" of spring is all you need for proper feeding and cycling.

Finally got around to modding the Versa Max. The bolt release is beryllium copper, because... Why not. I think I need to take the port back a little bit more, so I might clean up where it transitions to the angle a bit while I'm at it. Little rough, because I got lazy. Lol.

I think he means you gotta round off those razor blades around your loading port or make sure to wear kevlar gloves.

From my sample size of one, yes. I have a Nordic +3 that is easier to load than my non-Nordic +1...but different brands, so?

Exactly lol, I spent a bunch of time making sure that transition was smooth, I didn't care how it looked as long as it was smooth. I have office job hands lol, so I have fairly soft hands (even when working in trades lol).
You only need 12" of spring past extension for reliable feeding in a m3k. I was running 18" and it was hard to load to 6 in a +2 tube. Trimmed off 6" and it has been perfect since.
Mind you I left it at 18" for like a case of birdshot, then clipped to 12" so I had a already used spring
Definitely nothing sharp that i could cut myself on... I know people are used to seeing DIY grinder abortions on loading ports, but that's not what this is. I was referring to the steps the end mill left when i had it tilted over at an angle to move the face back. It doesn't look the best, but it's not sharp.
Yeah yours looks sharp af by the follower area. Especially on the right side (from top) as I load right handed. Looks like that's would chew the crap outta my thumb.

Is this the 19" or 22" version? I have never seen it with a stippled stock, was that extra?
Depending on what model of Versamax they use a base gun dictates which ones have the stippling. This started off as the Sportsman. The Tactical has rubber inlays on the grip section and tends to be a pain to stipple. I am the stipple guy for Tacord.
