So Stormbringer how much arm twisting would it take for you to host either Ontario or Canadian 3 gun championship this year??

You Can Do it!!!!!

This year there is not a hope in hell.....................

Right now I am working on our May 3 gun.

Then I have the Open House.

Then the Women in the Outdoors.

Then our Dave Dickie memorial shoot.

Then I am off to the cottage.

Then I have to get our L3 off the ground ( our first ever).

That said I have been musing about a L3 Three gun................some year. Probably not until we get our last two planned ranges up and running. (hint right now there is a pond where they sit).

What we might be able to do is run a provincials at some point in the not so distant future.

Even a Shotgun or Rifle championships would be great. There is no reason that shotgun should not be more popular there is only restrictions on semi auto’s. As for rifle there is now a number of semi auto rifles that are legal for 10 rd. so I would think it will become more popular.

I have asked permission of the Canadian IPSC NEC to have our level 3 three Gun match in October at the Ralph Dunn Range in Nova Scotia Designated as the Canadian National 3Gun Championship. The Stages are all done and ready to submit ,2 short ,2 meduim ,2 long stages for shotgun ,rifle and pistol about 250 rounds.

Stick a berm at the end of it and it will be our "extreme" range. Your ipsc and 3 gun could have real boat shoots! :dancingbanana:

I watch S&W IDPA championship on tv and it had a stage with row boats....

Well, boys- there you have it. I'm off to Nova Scotia. Who's coming?
I hear the folks down there are real hospitable. Just a rumor though.:D

that is a lot of gear to travel with. Can a competitor only compete in one division, or maybe two?

yeah, I got room enough to haul a small tractor LOL.
The reason I mention it, is that we are having a National championship for handguns. Maybe rifle and shotgun would be enough for a National match? Just a thought, as a National Rifle championship with all the gear + Shotgun with all the gear and Ammo for both, + handgun + gear and ammo is a lot for some to take on the plane.......would not be fun. I still would participate, as i don't have far to drive and could even fit all the gear in the back of the NEon if I had to....
again, I know the guys are doing a lot of work and planning, but that is a lot of gear to haul for those coming from outside of the Atlantic Provinces......
just a thought. NO FLAME, just a thought.

Sure, but it wouldn't be a 3 gun match anymore, now would it!
The trick is to do well with all 3 on a given day. I'm driving to the 3 gun nationals. If 2 people drive together with all the gear, it's cheaper than flying.
I'm sure there will be an extra charge for a third piece of luggage. I don't think I could do it with 2.
