Once you get the hang of it, it gets easier. But don't get too complacent, it's still easy to mess it up.

I usually need a bit of filing touch up to get mine to thread smoothly in the action. Mostly just to remove some of the rough or sharp edges that the cutting tool leaves.

Definitely going slow with it, a thou or two at a time. It took some tuning to get the cutter bang on so the next one will be better etc. If I do do these for guys it will just be the thread form, your gunsmith can do the rest.
