I think Ideally would be to find a pre 64 Mod 70 that could use a new barrel, then I would consider making it an AI, as I do not have one atm.

Feeding will depend on the smith. I have numerous AI cartridges, and some of them needed a little more tweaking then others. I've never had issues with the my 30-06 AI, though I had one in the past built on an M17 that had issues. A P14 rebarreled to 375 Wby had similar problems. Again, takes some tweaking. - dan
