30-06 and elk

Congrat TB,can't go wrong with the 30.06 took a cow with one shot at 200yards winchester power point rn 180gr. Would like to get one with my 7mm-08.Congrats again.

Rem 700 Limited CDL stainless fluted, dropped in a Bell & Carlson medalist stock and topped with a Leupold FXIII fixed 6x42mm - 165 grain Accubonds over 62.0 grains RL19 for 2835 fps avg - good elk medicine :D although when I developed this load I had no real intentions of getting to use it on elk...mainly deer

Congrats Todd!! I'm looking forward to using the 225 gr Accubonds in my 35 Whelen on a bull moose this year.Nice to hear they they worked well for you on the elk.

Supercub- A couple of the guys in my moose camp use the flip-up on the objective lense as the rifle is carried slung most of the time therefore no rain/crud will fall into the ocular lense.(Supposedly)
