.30-06 cheaper than .303 BR ?

Odd to discover , but (a) the .30-06 still comes in commercial FMJ loadings , and (b) you can find .30-06 plenty cheaper than the most generic/cheap .303 BR....

Not really when you consider how many rifles are chambered in .30-06 around the World. .308 Win is pretty cheap too compared to other rounds.

Still, I do wish .303 British, 7x57mm Mauser and 7.92x57mm Mauser didn't cost so much.

Ive seen good deals on the .30-06 150FMJs in the Remington UMC line for around 18.00 for 20.

"....30-06 still comes in commercial FMJ loadings..." Used, Stateside, in milsurp matches. M1's, etc. Isn't as inexpensive nor accurate as reloading.

It isn't really surprising when you consider that .30-06 is a much higher volume seller than .303 ammo. The .303 is nowhere near as popular in the US as it is here and my guess is that even in Canada, more .30-06 ammo is sold than .303.

Incidentally, Remington does offer a 174 grain FMJ .303 loading in their UMC line.
