30-06 How many is too many?

Besides the ease of finding ammo im not sure i understand why the 06 is apparently superior to all the other cartridges that do the same thing. Irks me when i ask someone what kind of rifle they have and all they can say is the chambering, its really not that important.
Ive got one .30-06

Always liked 30-06. First rifle I bought when I moved to AB was a 30-06 Rem 700 BDL which I still have.

I do like cartridges based on 30-06 case (280Rem is my favorite).

Currently I have 3 commercial and 3 military rifles chambered for 30-06.

The only 30-06 I own is my fathers old Remington semi auto (He is a lefty and back then there were no LH bolt guns so semi was the best option)

I can't imagine ever buying another 30-06 ever again, unless maybe a Garand falls into my lap for an incredibly good deal.

I own three currently , I couldn't tell you how many I've owned over the years . My favourite is a rather nice Remington 725 that I got off of Rembo a few years back . Fits me like a glove and shoots pretty much anything into 1 inch groups , that one will stay with me until I go for the big dirt nap . One I will always regret selling is a Browning B78 I had in the 80's . Ridiculously accurate rifle , unfortunately economic realities of the day forced me to sell it , still looking for another .

Someone else can start a thread about rifles we should never have sold. Everybody remembers at least one of those.
