30-06 is not my thing, but this rifle is just plain beautifull...

"...this rifle is brand new..." That's good. An original runs over 3 grand or more US and the Parkerising isn't that bright.
James River Armory seem to be in the professional bubbafying business. Rebuilding milsurps and charging big bucks for 'em.

1600.00 aint much for such a rifle, i can live with a restored rifle... Still half price and it feel like a shooter, this litlle 2.5X scope is very clear... JP.

By strolling around, i did find a higher magnification vintage scope from Leatherman... 18 inch long 3/4 tube 6X, will order it to be my main scope on my rifle, keeping the 2.5X as a backup... JP.

Hi Caramel,

Mounting system for '03-A4 internal adjustment scope is very different than what is needed for external adjustment scope a la USMC 1941 '03-A1 Unertl sniper rifle.

Only rifle that was shown with such a dual capacity was a prop in "Saving Private Ryan" movie.
